Legislation

Change doesn’t happen all at once—it’s built step by step, through listening, collaboration, and action. Together, we’ve made meaningful progress by advancing legislation that lowers costs, expands opportunity, and strengthens our communities.

The bills below reflect that shared work—measures I’ve sponsored and co-sponsored to help clear the path forward.

Increasing Affordability

We worked to ease the squeeze of rising costs by bringing more transparency to insurance decisions (HB25-1002) and strengthening wage protections (HB25-1001). We’ve also supported pathways to more attainable housing (HB25-1272) and worked to improve the affordability of private health insurance (HB25B-1006).

Advancing Human Rights

We took meaningful steps to protect dignity and expand opportunity, safeguarding access to essential health care (HB25-1309) and strengthening legal protections (HB25-1312) for trans individuals. We helped those with disabilities obtain meaningful employment (HB25-1018), and have the opportunity to fully participate in their communities (HB25-1017).

Strengthening Access to Mental Healthcare

We removed barriers like copays for those who can least afford them (HB25-1026) and bolstered reentry support for those exiting prison (HB25-1129). We simplified the contracting and reporting process for healthcare providers so more people can obtain care (HB25-1124) and expanded treatment options for youth with severe depression (HB25-1070).
